Kayo provided us with a quick overview of her last 10 months in Canada.

She started with her missing her connecting flight in Vancouver and phoning and trying to tell Rtn Janet of her predicament.

Kayo described her first day at DHS - and how everyone was so friendly...but since she did not understand much English , it sounded like " blah , blah, blah...."

During her first term , she enrolled in outdoor education and slept outside in the winter and went snowshoeing for the first time.

She joined the band and cheerleading to make more new friends.

She was presented with a certificate at Grad and was able to enjoy Safe Grad.

Kayo thanked her 4 host families - the Mackinnons , the Hoogenbooms , the Keens , and the Fuersts for opening their homes and treating her as one of the family.

Some of her highlights - making new friends , learning new things, the Lobster dinner and kissing the cod, Rotary student exchange get togethers, the District Conference and the Western Exchange trip.

She will be going to Calgary and seeing the Stampede with Beth...and then flying to Southern Ontario and joining Lisa to tour Toronto and the Niagara Peninsula.

She will return to Dryden the end of July and fly home on August 14th.
