On September 9, 2017, nineteen Rotarians and friends volunteered their time helping the City of Dryden with its Household Hazardous Waste Day event.
Each September Rotarians gather to do a community service project collecting, sorting and loading hazardous waste brought to the city's public works facility by area residents. This year more than 340 vehicles stopped by to drop off old paint, batteries, fluorescent lights, gasoline, oil, aerosols and pesticides.

“Household Hazardous Waste Day keeps hazardous materials out of our landfill site and ensures that our landfill will be open for many years to come.”
