Youth Programs offered by our club that may be of interest to youth in Dryden and area
 
LONG TERM YOUTH EXCHANGE PROGRAM (YEP)
  • Ages 15 to 18 years at time of departure
  • Depart July/August annually for 1 year exchange
  • Set price includes airfare, insurance, visa, language school, jacket and more
  • Application deadline September or early October 2014 (3 payments) for 2016 departures
SHORT-TERM YOUTH EXCHANGE (STEP)
  • Ages 15.5 to 18.5 years in upper half of high school
  • 30 day, 7 week and 3 month durations  - House to House Exchange
  • Usually July/August annually  (exception Finland 15Jun and reciprocal 15Jul and Brazil – go Jul/Aug, reciprocal Dec/Jan)
  • Set price includes air, jacket and insurance
  • Application deadline 05Jan2015 with $300 Deposit and balance due 20Feb2015
ROTARY YOUTH LEADERSHIP AWARDS CAMP (RYLA)
  • Basic Camp – Ages 12-14 years    2014 Date – August 4th thru 9th
  • Advanced Camp – Ages 15-17 years   2014 Date – August 1lth thru 16th
  • Camps held at Clear Lake, Manitoba
  • Rotary Club application deadline before June of each school year
  • Club sponsors students to attend including camp cost & transportation from Winnipeg 
MODEL UNITED NATIONS ASSEMBLY (MUNA)      www.winnipegmuna.ca            
  • Held early May annually -  Canadian Mennonite University
  • 2 Grade 11 or 12 students and a counsellor attend  to represent 1 of 60-70 UN Member Nations
  • Sponsored by Rotary Club or School – multiple teams an option to attend
  • Register by 31Mar, forms due by 30Apr
 
ADVENTURE IN AGRICULTURE
  • Hosted by Regina Eastview Rotary
  •  November annually - set to occur  at same time as Agribition
  • Grades 11 & 12  -  Details out 30Jun/Register by 30Oct

ADVENTURE IN TECHNOLOGY
  • Hosted by the 5 Saskatoon Clubs – last week of April or first week of May annually
  • High School Students sponsored by your local Rotary Club
  • Registration by early March annually  -  details at www.rotarynutana.org

INTERNATIONAL YOUTH CAMPS (IYC)
  • ROTARY WILDERNESS CANOE CAMP – held annually in Sioux Lookout hosted by the Rotary Club of Sioux Lookout – 2014 dates are 09-23July2014
  • International Youth Camps (IYC) are held around the world and Canadian youth can attend an international camp at own expense – see their website for details – must be approved by local Rotary Club as the member of IYC for registration purposes
