Rtn Brian K introduced David as being the son of Betty Lyle....who belongs to one of the most famous organizations in the Province - Retired Teachers  of Ontario (RTO)

David was born and raised in Dryden - Faced with a learning disability, Dave chose not to slip through the cracks in high school. Instead, he found his place in leadership training. (Rotary Club of Dryden, Ontario, Canada)
He developed and honed skills that fostered self-esteem and a sense of community. These skills gave him the confidence to serve as student council president and student trustee for his local school board, and to get involved with a provincial student-run organization dedicated to student rights and leadership development. In college, he went on to be active in the campus recreation council and the student union.

Dave understands first-hand that all youth face challenges as they try to find their places in the world. He knows that leadership training has a positive impact on youth and on the entire community. He has incorporated this knowledge into his work in young offender group homes, drug and alcohol treatment programs for teens, at a Boys and Girls Club drop-in centre and summer camp, and as an educator. Dave spent several years as an area head at a Premier Summer Camp, helping youth explore their potential. He currently works as a Director of Camp Canyon (www.CampCanyon.com), a Summer Camp in the NE USA.

David also advised that he is also President of the local Kinsmen - and is trying to revive the dormant club....have already helped with this past year's Christmas parade...and will be organizing the Dragon Boat races in the summer (Rotary Club of Dryden, Ontario, Canada)
