At the May 19th luncheon, the Model United Nations Assembly Team (MUNA) students described their experience in Winnipeg in early May.

Jacob and Shaun represented the United Kingdom and spoke on why troops should be kept in Afghanistan while Carly and Shad represented China and spoke on stopping production of nuclear material.

Both groups found the experience very worthwhile and thanked Rotary and their counsellors Rtn Natasha and DHS teacher Duncan Wilkinson.

Carley Eschbach then also told us of her Adventure in Technology in Saskatoon and of some of the 15 places that they visited including the University of Saskatchewan, College of Agriculture (where she got to insert her arm inside a cow ), the College of Medicine and the Saskatchewan Research Council where they learned about DNA testing.  While she admitted she is not a technology "nerd", she found the whole experience very worthwhile and thanked Rotary for sponsoring her.

Carley then put on her Schools Building Schools hat and asked if there were any volunteers to help drive for their bottle drive on May 30th.  Please contact Rtn Sandra B if you can help.
