For the third consecutive year Dryden residents have taken the opportunity to dispose of their hazardous waste in a safe and secure manner.

Formerly, such an opportunity only occurred every second year. However, holding the event annually has actually resulted in an increase of the amount of hazardous material collected.

Such items as gasoline, vehicular batteries, old oil and solvents, paint both latex and oil based, fluorescent light bulbs and pesticides are just some of the more common hazardous material collected.

On average a drop-off was made every one and half minutes, keeping everyone busy. That is a total of 313 vehicles in 2015. The facility was staffed by City of Dryden employees, Miller Group Environmental staff and volunteers from Dryden Rotary.
