Maryn Wrolstad, Dryden’s out-going Exchange Student, will spend the 2018-19 school year, in Chelles, France. Chelles, France is in Rotary District 1770 just outside of Paris.
Wrolstad outlined five reasons why she wants to experience a Rotary student exchange:
To push herself outside of her comfort zone- To expand her worldview and achieve a new perspective
- To learn and mature as a person
- To enjoy her desire for travel and adventure
- To improve her second language skills
Wrolstad’s goals for her exchange year:
- Make many new friends
- Become a fully fluent French speaker
- Learn how to take the train
- Try new activities
- Try new foods
- Learn to cook something new
- Visit museums
- Learn about French culture and history
