Rotary Auction Gets Rolling

Preparations for the 2013 Rotary On-line Auction are well under way. This year’s Auction chairperson is Rena Madden who used the January 30th Rotary luncheon to mobilize local Rotarians to personally deliver a letter asking local businesses to donate an article for the auction.
Rena’s team of Rotary volunteers are ready to go and their jobs include taking photos of the articles, inputting the data for the web site and picking up and delivering donated articles. So each donation will need a thorough description of the good or service, photograph of the article, pick-up details, a Rotarian contact and of course the name of the business or person making the donation.
On its web site, CKDR radio has offered to host a preview of some of the articles by the end of February.
The auction lasts one week and starts on April 10, 2013. Last year the Auction effort raised over $14,000.00 all available for youth programs and local community projects. Watch for the Dryden Rotary On-line Auction at www.ckdr.net.
