In 1992 a group of far sighted Rotarians saw the need for members of Rotary clubs to better train future leaders. In that year a grassroots coalition of Rotary districts implementing a leadership development program for "potential" leaders of Rotary clubs. It is called the Rotary Leadership Institute of RLI for short.
In 2014-15, District 5550 of which the Dryden club is a member began to offer the three part program. This fall for the first time it was offered for the three clubs in Northwestern Ontario.
The local instructors were Joanne Misner of Dryden and Fred Wright of Kenora.
As the photo demonstrated six Dryden Rotarians received their certificates for completing all three Rotary Leadership Institute Modules on October 30 and November 5 in Dryden.
Joining the "Drydenites" were other Rotarians from Sioux Lookout and Kenora.
